FINEST OFFSHORE SERIES 2021

In 2018 Finnish and Estonian ORC sailors decided to compete together on both sides of the Gulf of Finland. Three events both in 2018 and 2019 were sailed as part of the  FINEST OFFSHORE SERIES. See the websites of the past years at the bottom of the page.

Due to the Covid-19 impact and travel restrictions the series didn’t take place in 2020. Hopefully 2021 summer will be different–here we go again and planning the following events to conclude in the series.

Participating classes: ORC (ORC, ORCi- tai FinRating-certificate requested)

The events of the 2021 Series:

Main principles of the series:

• to have more ORC boats together on the starting line while joining the fleets
• to create more high competitive and international level events in the area
• better preparation for the ORC title events
• majority of the races are inshore races on winward-leeward course
• every single race (not the overall result of the regatta) will be scored in the Series’ ranking
• the regattas are open to all boats with a valid ORC measurement and FinRating certificate
• the first three (3) best teams of the Series will be awarded with the trophies
• the events and scoring of the series are described in the Notice of Race of the Series
• to have more communication and mix&mingle with After Sail events
